ORDER OF FORESTERS

ANNUAL BALL HELD. The Scots Hall, Symoiuls Street, presented a gay scene when the combined courts of the Auckland District Ancient Order of Foresters held their annual ball commemorating 103 years of Forestry under the present registered name. The District Chief Ranger, Brother A. J. Rankin, and District Secretary, Sister R. Darlow, welcomed the members and representatives from other courts, about 300 being in attendance. The committee was as follows: —District secretary, Sister R. Darlow, who wore primrose lace and satin; Mrs. Milligan, Chinese red cloque and gold lame; Mrs. A. F. Kelsall, green satin and gold lame; Mrs, Rawlins, geranium red satin beaute; Mrs. Knott, willow green cliarmeuse; Mrs. Tetlev, blush pink cloque; Mrs. Fairhead, midnight blue georgette; Mrs. Baker, brick dust georgette and lace; Mrs. Appleton, white floral georgette; Miss Mead, lupin blue taffeta. Among those present were: Mesdames Haining, Catliey, Peart (Hamilton), Franklin-Smith, W. E. Jones (Hamilton), Allen, Hunter, Marclimont, Mead, Bergin, C.
