FRUIT RETAILERS
WAIKATO BRANCH FORMED.

HAMILTON, this day,
Retailers of fruit from many towns in the Waikato met at Hamilton and decided to form a local branch of the Xew 'Zealand European Fruit Retailers Association. Representatives of the trade- were present from Te Aroha, Matamata, Morrinsville, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Hamilton ancl Frankton. Short addresses concerning the efforts of the association to secure improvements in the trade were given by the president, Mr. H. W. Kealey, and the secretary, Mr. H. G. Staley. Twenty members were enrolled for the new branch of the association, and an election of officers resulted as follows: Preeident, Mr. O. Heerdegen (Matamata); vice-presidents Mr. J. HHebden (Te Awamutu) and Mr. J. Hoosen (Frankton); treasurer, Mr. J. Hooper (Hamilton); secretary, Mr H. Gallichan (Hamilton); executive, Mrs Birch (Morrinsville), Mr. C. S. (Te Awamutu), Mr. Levesque (Cambridge), Mrs. Evesham (Te Aroha), and four Hamilton representatives yet to be appointed. "
