MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
VISIT OF HON. R. SEMPLE. To confer with representatives of the Auckland City Council on the futrre of the old Shortland Street post office, the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. E. Semple, will arrive in Auckland from Wellington to-morrajv. He will subsequently visit the ><orth. The Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, left for Wellington by the Limited last night, having concluded the first 1000 miles of a North Island tour. The Minister is expected to' return to Auckland on Sunday night and will begin a tour of the North on Monday. On Wednesday night he will open the Auckland Winter Exhibition. The Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, will be in Hamilton tomorrow. He will spend the morning at the Waikato Land Settlement Society's properties at Roto-o-rangi and Wharepapa. He will be accompanied by Mr. t J. S. Hunter, Commissioner of Employment. The Minister of Justice, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, accompanied by Mrs. Mason, and Mr. B. L. Dallard, UnderSecretary of Justice, arrived in Thames last evening. This morning the Minister inspected the courthouse, the police station and prison, and later left for Hamilton.
