FALCON CUP FINAL.

THISTLE V. PONSONBY. TWO CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. The main game in Auckland to-morrow will be the local final in the Chatham Cup eliminating contest between Thistle and Ponsonby at Blaiulford Park. With the national club championship at stake, the game is certain to possess a full measure of cup-tie thrills, and as a decision must be reached —extra time is provided for it necessary—the game will commence at 2.30. The winner will carry Auckland's hopes in the New Zealand competition, and both contestants are eager to have that honour. The meetings of these old rivals seldom fail to produce stirring struggles, and though in recent games neither has shown true form, cup-tie events never fail to stimulate the keenest interest. It is hard to predict the winner. Thistle will be without the services of Reid, who has definitely retired from the game, and Dunsmore, who has been given three weeks' compulsory rest by the local authorities, but the Scots have able substitutes, and a good game should be witnessed. I In the championship competition Mount Albert Grammar's leadership will be challenged at Western Springs by Metro, who scored a decisive win over Shore last week, while Comrades cross the harbour to meet the Devonport side with the greatest confidence after their impressive win last week over Thistle.
