GREAT ADVANCE IN EDUCATION.—These two photographs show how great are the advantages given to children attending school in these days, while they are also a finger pointing to the possibilities of the future. They were taken at the Kowhai Intermediate School, Ivhete a system of wireless has been instituted. On the right, the headmaster, Mr. J. F. Wells, is seen plugging-in to the complicated-looking switchboard in his study, so that the class, shown in the other photograph, might be able to hear the broadcast yesterday from IYA for school children. With Mr. Wells is seen Mr. E. H. Page, treasurer to the school committee, while those in the other picture are three other members of the committee (from the left), Messrs. H. M. Cardon, A. A. Buckley, chairman, and W. R. Perrott.
