JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. | At the meeting of the Auckland Rugby League management committee last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, a letter was received from the Green Lane Club nominating a delegate to act for Mr. W. E. Kane, who met with a tragic accident at tlie railway yards on Friday. h Mr. Wilkie said he felt sure that in;,his distrccsing accident the Green Lane chairman had the sympathy of all circles, and ho moved that tlie board's regret /be minuted and sympathy expressed to Mrs. Kane and family. It was hoped that the victim would Jnake a good recovery, j A motion accordingly was adopted. A request from the Referees' Association for Domain ground numbers to be published with fixtures each week was referred to the grounds allocator. Favourable comment was made on the smart' attire of junior teams at Victoria l'ark on Saturday. _ . . •. The. Glenora Club advised that its third grade team was prepared to travel to play shortly at a South Auckland centre. The. default of the Ellerslie seventh grade team to Papakura on June 20 and that of Glenora sevenths on Saturday was found to be due to transport difficulty-, in each case. . An application by Point Chevalier senior B team for,a bye on July 11,-; m order to play Devonport, seniors m'/ a benefit match at Point Chevalier, wa6 deferred for consideration. The Ellerslie delegate reported that the ex-inter»atk>nal C. E. Gregory, late Mar.ist reserve coach, had taken ( Ellerslie -thirds in hand. , , A fourth grade (player was suspended for one playing Saturday for striking an opponent in a match at Victoria lark. Though a first offender, it was reported to be a very deliberate offence and the only incident in, a fine clean game. Transfers: G. Miller, Mount Albert to City Rovers third intermediate; N. lbbetson, Mount Albert seconds to Glenora seconds.
