SPILT INK CLUB.

The Auckland branch of the Spilt Ink Club held its June meeting on Saturday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Crump, Mount Eden; • Interesting including "Oriental Carpets," "Will Modern Literature Live?" "God and the Scientist", and "A Criticism of the Sitwells," read by Mrs. Crump, Mrs. Richmond, Mrs. Doust and Miss Johnson respectively. Miss R. M. Hoggard, one of the founders and honorary secretary of the Wellington branch of the club, was present and gave a short talk on the founding and progress of both the Spilt Ink Club and magazine. An interesting discussion followed and afternoon tea concluded a most enjoyable meeting. Amongst those present were: Mesdames Crump, 'Craig, Fisher, Colegrave, Richmond, Doust, Hurst, Collett, Misses Hoggard, Johnson, Saunders, Crump, Messrs. Crump and Richmond.
