LECTURES AT MUSEUM.

INTERESTING SUNDAY SERIES

An interesting series of Sunday afternoon lectures for the winter session has been arranged by the Auckland Institute and Museum. The first lecture will be given next Sunday by Mr. F. L. Armitage, of the bacteriological department of the Auckland Hospital, who will speak on "Babies and Old People." Other lectures are: "People, Plants and Scenery," by Professor Arnold Wall; "A Tourist's Impressions of Cairo and the Pyramids," Dr. C. W. Parr; "Marine Life of Auckland in the Geological Past," Mr. A. W. B. Powell, of the museum staff; and "Impressions of a Naturalist Abroad," Miss L. B. Moore, zoology department, Auckland University College. In a later series Miss E. K. Morton will describe travels in the south of New Zealand, Miss Lucy M. Cranwell, museum botanist, "Scandinavian Art and' Life," and Mr. G. Holford, "Grass and Mankind."
