SYDNEY SUSPECT. N.S.W. WARDROBE MYSTERY. SEARCH ON MARIPOSA. The police on both sides of the Tasman are still active in their search for the suspect in. the recent Sydney "wardrobe murder mystery." Prior to leaving Sydney the Mariposa, which arrived in Auckland this morning, was thoroughly searched by the Sydney police in case the person believed to be concerned might be aboard, while the search was repeated when the vessel arrived in Auckland. A party led by Detective-Sergeant A. B. Meiklejohn and Detective W. Mahood, who is attached to the wharf police, boarded the vessel at the same time as the Customs officials this morning. They left in the launch at 6.30 a.m. and boarded the vessel near North Head. It is understood that so far the police have discovered nothing on the Mariposa. The first that Auckland knew of the interest of the local t police in the case was the investigation by the police of the Aorangi when it arrived last Monday. A party of six dctectives accompanied the pilot in his launch and boarded the vessel in tho early hours of the morning as it was coming up the Rangitoto Channel. Though a watch was kept until the vessel ■ sailed on the following afternoon, 110 discovery was made.
