WARNING RENEWED. BY MINISTER OF LABOUR. "UNSCRUPULOUS EMPLOYERS" (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON,' this day. Another warning that action would be taken against employers, who ,'dis-! missed employees ill Qrdetf to avoid provisions of industrial legislation passed during ■. the' session was issued by - the Minister of Labour, the ' Hon. H. T-. Armstrong, to-day. "Tho Labour Department is going into the whole matter," said the Minister, "and it is going to take action against unscrupulous employers who dismiss members of their staff in order to avoid the payment of higher wagerf. Not only are such employers unreasonable and unfair to their employees but they are imposters upon employers in the same line of business. "The Government intends to go as far, as the law allows in order to meet the position, and public attention will be called to those individuals who arc responsible. Perhaps tli6 public will And a way of dealing with them that will be more effective than the Government's way."
