RAILWAYS MINISTER
TAURANGA VISIT ARRANGED. (By Tclcgrnpli.—Own Correspondent.) TAURANGA, this day. A telegram has been received by the Mayor of Tauranga, Mr. L. R. Wilkinson, from the Minister of Railways, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, stating that the Minister will arrive at Tauranga in the new railcar Maahunui at 5.40 p.m. tomorrow. He will stay until Tuesday. The Minister and party will leave Tauranga by railear at 0 a.m. on Monday and will call at Te Puke on the way to Taiieatua, returning to Tauranga for lunch. A eivic reception will be tendered ,to the Minister at 2.30 p.m. on Monday. Afterwards he will be taken round the borough and adjacent country districts and shown places of historical and general interest. The railcar will stop on the way to Tauranga at Te Aroha and Katikati. Tt is expected that the Minister will be accompanied by several members of Parliament. Mr. C. A. Burnett, M.P., and the Hon.iß. C. Bobbins, M.L.C., will join the raitear at Frankton Junction to-morrow afternoon.
The Minister and visiting members of Parliament will attend a complimentary dinner to the tendered to Mr. Robbins at Tauranga on Monday evening by local bodies, town organisations and sporting bodies.
