TIMBER FOR HOUSES.

Perhaps it would interest that councillor to know that motor car eases are made of spruce, called white deal in Melbourne, and the door has been wide open in Melbourne for fifty years or so for the use of spruce for weatherboards and flooring and matdi-liinnjr. and thousands ot houses are so built in Melbourne and other towns in Victoria, where the writer worked forty years ago.
