JOTTINGS FROM OUR CLUB CAPTAINS. The following letter from tlie captaiu of tlio Knitting Circle announces tlie formation of a new club: — Dear Wendy,— I am just 'writing to you if the Knitting Circle may be registered and regarded as Sunbeams and patchknitters for tho Sunshine campaign. The names of the members are, Cecily Fahev, Valda Green. Josephine Cautanch, Patty Soloman, Connie Stackpolo and myself. I would like to know whether the meetings have to be held at my place or at the " Star Oflice and when and where we have to sew patches into quilts. —Joan Fahey (Captain). [Meetings are held at tlie members' homes, Joan, and each club takes turn to come to the "Star" Oflice 011 a Saturday morning and help sew up the patches. Good luck to the Knitting Circle.—W.J Dear Wendy, — The T?ata« are still working well and collecting for the Silver Lining. Do you think it would be a cood to sell bottles for tho Silver Lining? I am sending their names in this letter. We have about sixty patches, a baby's dress and a pair of slippers. Dear Wendy,— Would you register our club again this year?—tho Blockhouse Bay Sunbeams. You will see our members are younger than the other clubs, but we are all knitting as many patches as wo can. We have knitted 23 squares. As they are of different shapes and sizes we thought wo had better make the quilt ourselves. We hope it will keep some poor little baby warm. Una, Gwennie and Val brought tho clothing and old hats. I am knitting a singlet and some of the others are making slippers and bootees. Dear Wendy, — I liavo formed a club down here at Kohimarama which consists of six girls so far, and I hope to have more members soon. We had a small meeting on Saturday to decide the name of the club and the captain. The name was finally selected was the Fantail Club.—.loan White (Captain).
