Pursuant to Section 64 of the Rating Act, 1925, public notice is hereby given that the Takapuna Borough Council has resolved to allow every Ratepayer a rebate of five per centum (5 per cent) of so much of the rates payable by him as are paid before the expiration of Thirty (30) days after the due date thereof. Takapuna, June 25, 1936. 27 JgOROUGII OP TAKAPUNA. NOTICE OP INTENTION TO STRIKE RATES, 1936-1937. Public notice is hereby given that the Takapuna Borough Council, in pursuance of powers conferred under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Rating Act, 1925 the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and all other powers enabling it in tint behalf, intends, at a meeting to be held in the Council Chamber on WEDNESDAY, the 15tli day of July, 1936, at 7.15 p.m., to make and levy for the vear commenced on the Ist day of April, 1930. and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937. (1) A CONSOLIDATED RATE of One Shilling (1/) in the £, such rate being in lieu of a General Rate of Threepence (3d) in the £, a Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of Eighty-liundredths of a Penny (SO/lOOd) in the £, and Special Loan Rates of Eight and Twenty-liundredths of a Penny (S2O/100d) in the £ upon the Unimproyeil Value of all rateable property situated within the Borough of Takapuna, payable in one instalment on the Ist dav of AUGUST, 1936, at the Council Office, Lake Road, Takapuna, to H. L. Bowden, Borough Treasurer, or to such person as may from time to time be appointed by the Local Authority to collect rates. (2) REFUSE REMOVAL. A uniform annual fee of Ten Shillings (10/) for the removal of refuse from the Ist day of April, -1936. to the 31st day of March, 1937, upon all properties situated within the Borough as have a building erected thereon, from which the Council is prepared to remove refuse, payable in one instalment on the Ist day of AUGUST, 1936. (3) WATER SUPPLY. In respect of all water supplied by meter a minimum ciiarge of One Pound Pour Shillings (£1 4/) covering the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1936, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1937, such rate or charge being due and payable in one instalment on the Ist day of APRIL, 1930. For all water consumed during the said period, in excess of Sixteen Thousand (16.000) gallons, a rate or charge of One Shilling and Sixpence (1/6) per Thousand (1000) gallons, the charge for excess supply being due and payable on the Ist day of APRIL. 1937. The above rates, refuse and water supply charges to be payable in each case at the Council Office, Lake Road, Takapuna, to H. L. Bowden, Borough Treasurer, or to such person as may from time to time be appointed by the Local Authority to collect rates. The estimates, upon which the above rates, fees and charges are being struck, have been approved by the Council and are j: open for inspection, together with the j Valuation Roll, at the Council Office during office hours. > H.
