BOWLING.
WEST END CDUB. PENNANT RINK CHAMPIONS. When the annual meeting of the West End Bowling Club was held, Mr. P. Needham presided. The report and balance sheet showed the club to be in a good financial position. Tlie report stated tlie membership had been fairly well maintained at last year's figures, and it is hoped to enrol an increased number next summer. The club expressed its sympathy with Mrs. W. F. Ilardley and family in the loss of Mr. W. F. Hardley who was dearly loved by the club and all who knew him. Sympathy was also expressed with Mr. .T. W. Hardy, past president, who, through illness, has'been unable to take active part during tlie season, and he was wished a speedy recovery. The resignation of Mr. .T. 11. Darby," snr., who is leaving town to take up farming, was accepted with regret.
Tlie outstanding club successes during the season were (lie winning of the pennant competition and centre pairs by W. Bremner and C. I'. Hardley. The latter was also runner-up to T. Livingstone (Onehunga Club) in the Dominion singles.

The club had the pleasure of co-operating with the Auckland Bowling Centre in entertaining parties of visiting bowlers and thru* ladies from Xew South Wales and Taranaki during the season.
