MARIPOSA FOR 'FRISCO. SIX CARGO VESSELS. ARRIVING THIS WEEK-END. Tlie Matsoll liner Mariposa arrived sharp oil seven o'clock this morning from Sydney and berthed at tlie - Prince's wharf. She landed 10(5 passengers for Auckland and brought two Empire mails from London. One hundred and twenty passengers join the ship here when she sails at 4 p.m. for San Francisco, via Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu and Los Angeles. The wharves have been very slack for several days, but will soon be busy again, as six large overseas cargo vessels will arrive during the week-end. j With a number of other ships due all next week, the port will be brisk for some time ahead. Monowai sailed for Sydney shortly after 4.30 p.m. yesterday with a big passenger list. She is due at Sydney on Monday afternoon. (U.S.S. Co.) Wairuna, under charter to the British Phosjiliate Commissioners, left ft*' Nauru, via Newcastle, yesterday afternoon. (8.P.C.) Waipahi, which arrived yesterday morning from Suva, sailed for Sydney at 8.30 p.m. yesterday to load for Auckland. (U.S.S. Co.) Waimarino left late last night for Wellington, via Portland. (U.S.S. Co.) Kerepo, which arrived at live o'clock last evening from South Australia, via New Plymouth, will leave at G p.m. to-day for Wellington. (U.S.S. Co.) Empire Star, 10,800 tons, arrived shortly after seven o'clock this morning from Wellington. She is for final loading, and sails for London at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. (8.5.L.) City of Canton, 8692 tons, will arrive at midnight from New York with general cargo. She berths at the Prince's wharf to-morrow. (N.Z.S. Co.) Tuscan Star, 11,449 tons, will arrive from Liverpool and Glasgow at 4 p.m. to-morrow. She has general cargo and will berth at the Prince's wharf. (8.5.L.) Golden State, 5645 tons, is due at noon to-morrow with cargo from the Pacific Coast, and will berth at the King's wharf. (H. and M.) Piako, 8283 tons, is due from Cardiff. Wales, at 2 a.m. on Monday.
