"DAYLIGHT?"
MURDER MYSTERY.
MAORI COUNCIL'S IiMQUIRY.
SEARCH OF ROADSIDE.
(Isy Telegraph.— Own Correspondent.) WITAXfIAREI, tliis (lav. "I think a little daylight is coming now." That was the comment of Mr. Hep'eri, sen., father of Mr. Fred Ilepcri, chairman of the Hokianga Maori Council, which has been assisting the police in their investigations into the Nelson murder mystery.
The Maori Council yesterday took evidence from the natives of Taheke and that evidence was handed to detectives this morning. It is believed that the council has spent much time in obtaining complete histories of the various persons questioned by the police. To-day the police party was still engaged in clearing the roadside near the Nelson homestead.
