SAMOAN WELCOME.
MAU ORGANISATION.
MISSION OF GOOD WILL. REPRESENTATIVES OF N.Z. The Mau organisation at Samoa lias decided to welcome and meet the representatives of the Xew Zealand Government when thev visit Samoa.
Mr. 0. F. Nelson said to-day that the Mau organisation had asked for an open and free discussion of their complaints, and for the removal of restrictive laws against free speech and free movement in their country, also that he (Mr. Nelson) should be allowed to return before the representatives of the New Zealand Government went there.
Mr. Nelson said that he had urged the Mau without prejudice to the presentation of their grievances for redress to respect the course which the New Zealand Government had decided to take, to accept the pending Ministerial visit as a good will mission, and to welcome the Ministerial party.
Mr. Nelson said that the Mau had decided to adopt the course «hie,i -it) had urged. With his three daughter! lie intended to leave for Samoa by the Maui Po'mare from AA eilingtcn on Julv 14, and he would be due at Apia two davs before the Ministerial partj left Samoa for New Zealand.
