L° CA LOAN " S PROPOSED WORKS | The AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL proposes to raise a Special Loan of t.IV/.uou, I ami, having obtained the necessary statutory sanction of the Local Government Loans Board, hereby gives notice in pursuance of Section 10 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1920:—• 1. That the purpose for which the Loan is required is drainage and street works within the City area, extension to Nelson Street and purchase of necessary land therefor, erection of public conveniences, cleaning and relining water mains, construction of waterworks reservoir and depot, erection of abattoir administrative block and cost of raising loan. 2. That the Auckland City Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of the ordinary revenue of the City, proposes to raise a Special Loan of Three Hundred and Seventy-seven Thousand Pounds (£377,000). to be known us "WORKS LOAN 1930 (£377,000)." 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall he a special rate of two pence and three farthings (22d) in the £ upon the annual value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland. 4. That the Auckland City Council proposes to make the Loan repayable at the end of twenty-four (24) years from the date of issue, with provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund, calculated on the amount to be raised of not less than two pounds iifteen shillings (£2 15/) per centum per annum. 5. That the Auckland City Council proposes to pay out of such loan such costs, charges and expenses not exceeding Three Hundred and Eighteen Pounds (£318) as the Auckland City Council may determine to have been actually incurred in connection witli such loan, but not the interest or sinking fund thereon for the first year.
