MEHRINGER BEATS WOODS.

CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday

In the best and fastest wrestling match in Christchurch this season Mehringer (United States) beat Woods (United States), after a penalty fail against Woods, in the sixth round of a professional .cpntest to-night. Each had- one -fall- previously. The penalty fall was given against. Woods for elbow jolts after he had been Warned not to •ontinue them. Mehringer looked as though he would not have been able to continue the bout.
