ONE TREE HILL COUNCIL.
The One Tree Hill Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. I. J. Goiiistine, presiding. Building Permits.—Since the beginning of the year 62 building permits valued at £28,189 had been issued, compared with 47 permits of a value of £29,811 for the corresponding period of last year. Traffic.—The traffic and building inspector reported that up to date for the first quarter of the year the council had received £584 in heavy traffic fees, which was £58 more than for the whole of the first quarter of last year. Drainage Board Assessment. —The council received notification that its proportion of the Drainage Board's expenditure for the .current year amounted to £1711. The town clerk aeported 'that the levy was £37 greater than last year, but £89 less than originally anticipated. ■Street Collections. — Permission was granted the Y.M.C.A. and Y.W.C.A. *o liold a joint street collection on June !6 and the St. John Ambulance Association a street collection in October.
