Calves.—Our entry of calves was larger than last week and competition was again keen, with values very firm. The quality of ox beef yarded was not quite up to the usual standard, bidding was spirited and late rates were fully maintained. Cows and heifers were also of medium quality and sold free0 r at slightly better values.
