WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton: — Strong south-westerly winds, but gradually moderating. Weather cold, changeable and showery. Seas rough. A deep depression is now centred east of the North Island. An anti-cyclone still covers Australia, but a series of secondary depressions is crossing the South Tasman Sea. Forecast for Dominion. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong, gradually decreasing. Weather probably cold and changeable, with ' showers at times. Barometer unsteady, but has a rising tendency. Seas rough. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauragi f!ulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, south-south-west, strong; sea rough; weather cloudy and squally; visibility fair; barometer rising.
