JUNIOR MANAGEMENT AFFAIRS. At the. meeting of the junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening, Mr. D. Wilkie, presiding. the Otahuhu seventh grade team retained its championship poitfts for a win, 6—5, against Glen Ora, upon a technicality. A player had not paid the 1/ insurance fee for the grade, and a reference to the official minute on the books disclosed that the insurance fee did not specify registration, and therefore the board could not consider the breach sufficient to warrant loss of the match. To prevent a recurrence, it was decided to rule that any player not having paid 1/ insurance fee for the grade shall be deemed out of order. \ll Ellerslie third grade players ' protested upon by R.V. on weight were found in order. Owing to the lightness of four of the players challenged they were allowed 1/ each travelling expenses out of the 35/ protest fee. The investigation into the third grade match between Newton B and Marists was completed, the match formerly awarded to Newton being given to Marists ugain. The player held to be ineligible to play for Newton appeared, and said that the Marist team also were aware of his ineligibility. The Marist and Point Chevalier seventh grade teams were ruled out of order last week, and no championship points were allowed. A seventh grade coach was warned about the conduct of his team. A letter from the South" Auckland Rugby League seeking a curtain-raiser fixture at Carlaw Park on August 6 was deferred for further consideration. Transfers: PI. S. Burgess.
