PAKURANGA HUNT.

MEET AT CLEVEDON. The Pakurnnga Hunt met at Crevedon yesterdav and an excellent day s sport w as provided, two kills being made. I lie Governor-General, Lord Gnhva.v, Galwav and their daughters, the Hon. Celia Monekton and the Hon. Isabel Monckton, were among the followers. His Excellency was mounted on Spring, her Excellency on Safe Conveyance, the Hon. Celia on Beautv and the Hon. Isabel 011 Bobby. Captain A. G. W. Heber-Percy, A.D.C.. was on Tom Thumb. Hounds were thrown oft" on Mr., D. McDonald's property, and broke through to Mr. H. Alexander's property, where they chopped a hare. Then the hunt worked on over Mr. M. Wilson s property to Mr. A. D. Bell's farm, where a good strong hare was put up. It led the Idlowers through Mr. C. Munroe s property and then over the road to Mr. G. Dow s farm, crossing the stream in a wide circle over the flats, and doubling back to Mr. H. Alexander's farm and then through Mr. G. Alexander's property to Mr. McDonald's farm. Here hounds put up a fresh hare, which took the hunt across the main road to Mr. E. Fawcett s property. It circled round the bush there and then ran out toward the township, the hounds being stoppfed. , The hunt then worked back through Mr. McDonald's property, again over to Mr. H. Alexander's farm, from which a hare took followers for a fast run tlnougk Mr. Bell's property to Mr. Wilson s property, where a kill was made. Mr. J. Dow's property was worked through the rushes without success, and as rain was falling heavily the order for home was Afternoon tea was provided at the Clevedon Hall by the ladies of the district. Among the followers of the hunt were: The master, Mr. H. Bullock-Webster, on Tally Ho, the field master, Commander D. A. Bingley, on Blackthorne, Mr. C. Allen on Crusader, Mr, 0. Self on le J\oporu, Mr. W. Gore on Scottie, Mr. J. McPherson on Kink, Mr. Is; J. Sutherland on Blaze, Mr. H. Sutherland on Mac, Mr. C. Munroe on a black, Mr. F'. Atchison .011 Valerie, Mr. B. Gore on Billy Boy, Mr H Brooks on Pathfinder, Mr. J. Smith on a bay, Mr. N. McKinstry on a chestnut, Mr. E. Fielding on Shandy, Mr. A. Henwood on. Crescent, Mr. L. Jones on a bay, Mrs. A.
