SOCIAL AFTERNOON.

A party was held at the home of Mr. James Garrett, of Glenfield Road, Birkenhead, in honour of Miss Willis, who is 87 years of age. Miss Willis is a native of Malton, Yorkshire, but has resided in New Zealand for the past 16 years. Her nephews and nieces were present, and she was the recipient of many beautiful presents. • • • Miss Wyatt held an enjoyable afternoon tea at George Court's Tearoom in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Forsdick. Among those present were: Mesdames R. E. Peachey, J. T. Peacliey, Gilberd, Boss Pye, Macowan, Dennis, Arnold, Forsdick, Misses Enid Bright, D. Peachey, Bates, Burns, Taylor, Whittcombe, Hazard, Curren, Hair, Wyatt, Sullivan, Carron and Arnold..
