EXPRESS TRAIN STOP.
APATHY AT PAPAKURA. ' Residents of Papakura and outlying districts generally are apathetic regarding the stopping of the Wellington express at Papakura morning and afternoon. It should be pointed out, however, that as far as the afternoon train for Wellington is concerned both Manurewa and Papakura are fairly well catered for. A train leaves Munur-nva for Papakura at 2 p.m. daily, which connects with a train leaving Papakura about 2.30 p.m. for Pukekohe. where passengers can join the Wellington express about 4 p.m. People residing on the Karaka side of Papakura are within easy distance by car and bus of Pukekohe, where they could catch the express. yhe Papakura Town Board has expressed no opinion on .the matter. The Papakura Chamber of Commerce, which used to interest iieelf in these important questions, has been quiet for some time.
