FILM IN SCHOOLS.

DARGAVILLE OBJECTION. "THE LIFE OF CHRIST." "We have no knowledge of it and it is not being shown with our permission," said Mr. T. U. Wells, chairman of the Auckland Education Board, at this morning's meeting, when a letter was read from the Auckland School Committees' Association concerning the film "The Life of Christ," which it was said was being screened throughout the Dominion. The letter was a copy of one forwarded to the association by the Dargaville committee, which claimed that the picture was not a fit one for children and was not true to the teachings of the Bible. It was asked if the board would institute inquiries, as the matter was considered one worthy of investigation. The board decided that the matter was outside its province.
