GREYHOUND RACING.
The Metropolitan Greyhound Club held a series of racing trials on Saturday at their ground, Herring's Park, and some line racing took place. There was a large attendance, aud the new gear worked without a hitch. Results :— First Race. —Lady Bruno beat Hushing in a very hard race, Red Mickey being third. Second Race.—Golden Chance deadheated with Mr. Fletcher's unnamed pup In a very hard race. Seven started. Third Race.—Hushing 1, Lady Hope 2, Black Banner 3. Won by a head. Fourth Race.—Hushing 1, Bonnie 2. Lady Hope 3. Eight started. Lady Hope led the way past the bend into the straight, then Hushing came along at a great speed to win by two lengths. Fifth Race.—Lady Bruno 1, Mr. Pearson's unnamed 2, Mr. Fletcher's Black Banner 3. < Won by two lengths. Seven ran. Sixth Race.—Black Spider 1, Lady Hope 2, Smoky 3. Owners are reminded that trials will be again run on Saturday next, at 2.30 p.m.
