An enjoyable afternoon tea party was given by Mrs. Ken Aieken in honour ot Mrs. C. Clifford, who left last week to reside in Sydney. Among the guests were: Mrs. H. Haines, Mrs. J. Robinson, Mrs. C. Blonvfield, Mrs. Clifford. Misses Dell Scay, Mollie Mitchelson and Betty Sharman. » « » ♦ There was a happy atmosphere at the Titirangi Kiosk recently, when numerous friends of Miss Winnie Parker, who is leaving the district to be married, gathered to give her a fare- ! well. The evening was organised by the Titirangi Social Committee and a most enjoyable time was spent by all, dancing, games and cards being indulged in, while vocal and musical items were rendered. During the evening Miss Parker was the recipient of numerous presents. • • • • To celebrate the coming of age of their daughter Madge, Mr. and Mrs. W. Wangford gave an enjoyable party iti the Francis Street Hall on Saturday evening. Games and dancing were indulged in and items were rendered by Misses Betty Birch and Maureen Finillayson. Mrs. Wangford wore black georgette and lace, and the guest of honour wore a frock of shell pink tinsel crepe and an ermine fur wrap. Among those present were: Mesdames A. Fox, A. Thorn, T. Skinner. E. Tickle, Boy Wangford., A. Larsen, E. Phillips, W. Jenkins, R. Hvland. 'Misses Esme Wigg, M. Moyle, Viola Foote, Helen Mcßae. Iris Wangford. Gwen Bramley, M. Wallbank, Pauline and Betty Phillips and R. Stevens. Mr. Tom Skinner was master of. ceremonies.
