WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawliia and Hamilton: — Moderate but increasing north-east to northerly winds, changing to southerlies in about 24 hours. Weather dull, misty and, in places, foggy, with general rain and some heavy falls probable. Temperatures becoming colder to-mor-row. Seas moderate but rising. A complex series of depressions covers the Dominion, while an intense anticyclone is advancing over the Tasman Sea. For the Dominion. For 24 hours from !) a.m. to-day:— The indications are for northerly winds, moderate, freshening later and backing by west to south. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Rain probable, heavy in places. The barometer has a falling tendency, later rising. Seas moderate, but later increasing. Hauraki Gulf. The following report of weather con-! ditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, south, south-east, light airs; sea, smooth: weather, fine but hazy; visibility, fair; barometer has a falling tendency.
