DEATH IN HOSPITAL.

WAIMATTKU DRIVER'S INJURY.

The death of Mr. John Miller, driver and labourer, of Waimauku, who was knocked down by a motor car on the Great North Road, near Huapai, early on Saturday evening, occurred in the Auckland Hospital at' 10.15 last night. Mr. Miller suffered head injuries and a compound fracture of the leg. He was brought to the hospital in a serious condition by a St. John ambulance. This morning an inquest w»s opened by Mr. W. R. MeKean, S.M. It was adjourned after evidence of identification had been given.
