WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE.
The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Taurauga, Kawliia and Hamilton:— Moderate to strong northerly to north-westerly winds, backing later to westerlies. Weather cloudy to overcast, with intermittent rain.' Temperatures mild, but becoming cooler. Seas moderate. A shallow depression is crossing the North Island, but a deeper one of the westerly type is moving 011 to the South Island. Pressure has risen over South-eastern Australia. For the Dominion. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: — The indications are for moderate to strong northerlies, backing to west. Weather cloudy to overcast, with rain probable at times. Barometer falling, later rising. Seas moderate. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Xiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, north, moderate; sea moderate; weather overcast and misty; visibility fair; barometer falling.
