DECISION OF COUNCI^;; A recommendation by "the library, committee that a special Subscription of 2/0 per half-year be inaugurated for persona under the age of 21 years who subscribe to city and suburban libraries controlled by the Auckland City Council was adopted by the council at a meeting last evening. The question was raised in the committee stages by Sir George Richard-, son, who referred to the necessity for the provision of an intermediate subscription to allow persons up te the age of 21 years to obtain, library facilities at a reduced rate.
