AORANGI ARRIVES.

ROYAL PARTY ON BOARD. INCIDENTS OF VOYAGE. The dramatic appeal for assistance from the steamer Kent, when the R.M.S. Aorangi was at Suva last Thursday, was the outstanding event of the Aorangi's voyage from Vancouver to Auckland, where she berthed yesterday at 3.30 p.m. The vessel was honoured by the presence on board of Her Majesty, Queen Salote of Tonga, and His Royal Highness, the Prince Consort. Queen Salote was attended by her lady-in-waiting, Princess Fetutuki Oneone. The Royal

party, who are on a holiday visit to Australia and New Zealand, were brought from Nukualofa by the ship Pioneer, which was placed at their disposal by the Fijian Government, and joined the vessel at Suva. Prominent among the other passengers were the Rt. Rev. W. H. Baddeley, Bishop of Melanesia and the Rev. Charles F. Andrews, who has been making a study of Indian conditions in Fiji, and Mr. Charles Lucas, a prominent sports promoter of Sydney. " The Marechale." The Marecliale, the eldest daughter of the late General William Bramwell Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, was a through passenger to Sydney, making her first visit to Australia and New Zealand. The Marechale (whose title of honour, meaning "Field Marshal," was given her by -the people of France), spent twenty-five years in building up the movement in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Holland, and was twice arrested and imprisoned, fihe is a sister of General Evangeline Booth. She expects to spend some time in New Zealand after her visit to Australia, in the interests of the Mildmay Movement of England. Three More Wrestlers. Three American wrestlers, who are under contract to the New Zealand Wrestling Association, were other arrivals. They were Messrs. Bob Kruse, Sam Leathers, and Cris Zaliarias. Kruse is well-known in New Zealand, owing to an earlier visit to Australia. Last year he was wrestling in South Africa. Leather is also a prominent American. He has a draw with "Strangler" Lewis to his credit, and on" another occasion had a match with Walter ! Mller, who is at present in New Zeala'nd. He defeated Sonnenberg in two events out of three. Zaharias is an American Greek, and a younger brother of George Zaharias, who is at present in the world's top class.
