DEAD IN BED.

RETIRED SETTLER'S END. INQUEST ADJOURNED. A retired settler, Frederick Boryer, aged 70, was found dead in his bed in a lodging house in Grey's Avenue on Saturday morning. An inquest was opened by Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., this morning, when evidence of identification was given by a brother of deceased. The inquest was then adjourned, the magistrate ordering that a post-mortem be held. Deceased, who was a single man, had for the last 20 years been gum digging o.t Waiharara, North Auckland.
