EXTENSION AT MOTUROA. EXPENDITURE OF £33,000. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this clay. Extensions involving £35,000 are to be n:nde to the North Taranaki Producers' Freezing Company's works at Motui oa. ihe work, which will begin at an early date, includes the construction of a modern, four-storey storage building, which will accommodate 70,000 additional boxes of butter. The new building will contain up-to-date equipment and will be designed on the latest principles. It is understood that the building will account for approximately £20,000 of the proposed expenditure, the balance being expenditure on machinery, equipment, etc. The buildings will be erected as an addition to the present works, fronting Breakwater Road. The buildings were extensively added to about four years ago, but the present storage capacity for butter is inadequate. All dairy produce and a proportion of the meat shipped from New Plymouth overseas passes through the works, which last year handled a total of 33,980 tons.
