WIFE'S RIGHTS.
ORDER FOR RESTITUTION. OBJECTION TO MOTHER-IN-LAW. An order for restitution of conjugal rights was granted Eudora Emily Pallant (Mr. A. L. Spence), against Harold Pallant. by Mr. Justice Callan at the Supreme Court yesterday. When the case was heard on Monday last, the petitioner stated that the continual presence of her mother-in-law had led to estrangements, and finally her husband asked her to agree to a separation order unless she would agree to her husband's mother living with them. Petitioner then went to live with her sister. She stated in her evident that, with no mother-in-law in the picture, she was sure she could live happily with her husband, and she wanted to try again. His Honor commented that the position was a highly unusual one, and he deferred his decision pending legal argument in support of the petition being submitted by Mr. Spence. This was clone, and yesterday his Honor made the decree for restitution, to be complied with in 14 days.
