Fraser, by a representative deputation from Auckland recently, Mr. *W. -P. Endean (National, Parnell), gave notice in the House this morning to ask the Minister whether hie* attention had been drawn to a statement made recently b> Mr. A. E. Hefford, chief inspector of fisheries, on the subject of New Zealand's fisfceupply, Mr. Endean said ; that Mr. Hefford had eaid in effect that such supply was poor in . comparison "with that ,of , Great Britain, and was-jbeing diminished.
