WEATHER FORECAST.
j FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as far south, as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— LiprTit to moderate south-westerly winds, _ prevailing. _ Weather fine, with cold night but mild day temperatures. Sens slight to moderate. A rather intense anti-cyclone covers Xew Zealand. A westerly depression followed by ;i number of secondaries is advancing along the south coast of Australia towards the south Tasman Sea. Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, moderate; sea moderate; weather, fine, with scattered clouds; visibility good; barometer steady. Forecast for Dominion. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for variable and moderate breezes, moderate southerlies prevailing. There is a prospect of fine weather: days bright and nights cold. Barometer little movement. Seas smooth to moderate.
