TENNIS CLUB DANCE.

The annual dance of the Carlton Tennis Club was held in the Forester's Hall, Onehunga, on Wednesday evening. A larire number of members and friend's attended. The patron, Dr. J. Kirkwood, presented trophies won during the past season, the winners being Miss L. Jeffries (ladies' championship singles), Mr. R. Stone (men's championship singles), Mrs. E. Cear and Miss L. Jeffries (ladies' championship doubles), Messrs. D. Kidd and D. Pert (men's championship doubles), Miss T. Hammond and Mr. A. P. Smith (combined championship). The ladies' committee were Mesdames F. Jeffries, F. Short, E. Gear, W. Johnson, P. Greenland, F. Brown, Misses J. Price, T. Hammond. Among those present were:—Mesdames E. G. Cowell, F. Langton, D. Dickson, W. Bentler, A. Walton, D.
