FINAL BALLOT IN FRENCH ELECTIONS.

The final ballot in the general election in 433 constituencies passed off quietly. Fewer polled in some districts despite the pressing exhortations from all parties.
The Right candidates observed the pact, withdrawing their candidates, who had the smallest chance in the elections but among the Front Populaire 20 Socialists opposed Radicals, while 14 of the Front Populaire. The Front Populaire, Including 93 Communists, contested 313 seats, Communists usually announcing their candidates as of the Front Populari. Early results indicated Left wing gains, four-fifths of the first 79 results going to the Front Populaire, including 17 Communists, of whom four were elected in the Parisian "red belt." i The airman, M. Boussoutrot, who four. times has flown the South Atlantic, standing as a Communist, defeated M. Fabry, ex-Miuister of War, one of the founders of the famous Maginot Line of defences. j Those defeated include M. Frank Bouillon, Nationalist leader, M. Deat, Air . Minister, by a Communist, and M. Stern, Minister of the Colonies. i Those elected include M. Herriot, M. Reynaud, an advocate of devaluation, and M. Taittinger, leader of the Young Patriots. | Cabinet, which lost two Ministers last' week, now needs reconstruction. I
