LAST TRIBUTE.
MR. YARNALL'S TUNERAL.
The last tribute was paid to Mr. John William Yarnall at the funeral which was held yesterday. In addition to having been a city councillor, Mr. Yarnall was well known in provincial and Dominion Labour circles, and a number of those interested in the Labour movement in North Auckland attended. City representatives were also present in large numbers. The City Council was officially represented by the Mayor, Mr. Ernest 11. Davis, and several councillors. Many and varied were the beautiful floral emblems.
The service at the chapel, as well as that at the graveside, was conducted by the Rev. Mary M. Dreaver, and the pallbearers at the chapel were Messrs. B. Martin, deputy-Mayor, Arthur Rosser, E. J. Phelan, A. Mason, E. F. Anderson, J. S. Stewart, city councillors. Those at the graveside at Waikaraka wertj the Hon. F. E. Lark, M.L.C., Messrs. A. S. Richards and J. Lyon, M.P.'s, J. Purtell, representing the trades union movement, and A. S. Osborne and W. Cuthliert, representing the Auckland branch of the Labour party. Mr. J. T. Jennings, president of the Auckland Labour Representation Committee of the New, Zealand Labour party, was also in attendance.
