The Australian Associated Press special representative aboard the cruiser i Australia reports that 30 representatives of the Turkish People's party and 30 ! War Graves Commissioners were enter- ■ tained at breakfast aboard the Aus- \ tralia. The president of the War j Graves Commission stressed the friend- i ship between Turkey and the British Empire, of which the visit of the war- j ships was a timely manifestation. j, Fifty officers and men proceeded to Anzac Cove and attended a memorial '■ service at the Beach Cemetery. The j captains of the Australia and Sydney and the Turkish War Graves Commis-. j sinners laid wreaths on the war | memorials at the Beach Cemetery and Lone Pine, and the captains also placed floral tributes on the Turkish war ! memorial They then toured the district, includ- ■ ing the New Zealand memorial. The j Turks entertained parties from both : ships in the evening at dinner and the cinema.
