WRESTLING.
TO-NIGHT'S BOUT
Auckland wrestling enthusiasts will have their first opportunity to-night of seeing in action Jack l'orsgren, the present Canadian professional champion, who- will meet Lofty Blomfield in a match at the Town Hall. Forsgren, who lias wrestled all over the United States and Canada during the past few years, captured the Canadian title after Jiarl McCready left for New Zealand last season. Before he left Vancouver this year Forsgren had won 18 contests in a row, and, in New Zealand, he has drawn with Blomfield at Dunedin, beaten Wado at Invercargill, and beaten Mehringer at Wellington. Physically he bears the stamp of a champion, and his performances in New Zealand have shown that he knows how to make the best possible use of his physical attributes. In America, where a wrestler has to be rough to draw the crowds, Forsgren has more than held his own among the "big" men, both in results and in popularity, and his experiences there have made him able to withstand any amount of punishment from his opponent, and return it in kind. Left to himself he is quite content to go straight ahead on orthodox lines, but if straight is'started against him of the rough and tumble kind, he is right there, as Blomfield will doubtless find. The sensational nature of the contests is likely to pale alongside that between Blomfield and Forsgren, as Forsgren is of a more colourful type than the Oregon man..
