BOXING.
MONDAY'S CONTEST. | A draw with the former world's champion, Tod Morgan, and knockout victories over some of the best men in Australia, including three State champions, are but a few of the highlights in the career of Keg Hickey, the well-performed Australian middle-weight, who will make his New Zealand debut at the Town Hall on Monday evening next against the English middleweight, "Kid" lusher. JLhese two men, who are both better classed as fighters than boxers, should provide a thrilling battle. Both are good punchers, who prefer to trade punches rather than box, and while Hickey is determined to emulate the success which his stable companion, Cyril Pluto, has achieved in winning both eontests to date, Fisher is equally keen to make his first appearance in Auckland a winning one. There is no doubt that this contest, with the support of an excellent preliminary programme of amateur bouts, will constitute a programme worth travelline a long way to see. .
