NATURAL HISTORY.
The pupils of Point Chevalier school enjoyed a rare treat yesterday afternoon wlien a talk was given by Mr. W. H. Hemingway. History, geography and nature study were combined into one allabsorbing topic by the study and discussion of the wonderful specimens Mr. Hemingway has collected from 47 countries in the world. Those which interested the children specially were the beautifully coloured moths, butterflies and beetles, while the life history of the duck-billed platypus and of the tree-climbing fish were of peculiar interest.
