TE AWAMUTU, this day.

Fast work at Te Awamutu this morning was done on the course proper, with the flags about 35ft out. Conditions were good, though the track was holding. Lady Voyonne and Glenation were companions over five furlongs, which they completed together in 1.9, the last halfmile in 565. Tuaheahe-wns under restraint to occupy 1.9 1-5 for a similar task. Spalpiko was allotted one mile and a quarter, completing his work in 2.29. The best half-mile ot the morning was done bv Lady Ruler, who came home in 51 4-os She worked well. Tree of Heaven and Ruaville worked pleasingly over a similar distance in 52 l-ss. Ruaville was going thp better. Winlona and Queen JNona were on terms at the end of five furlongs in 1.8 4-5. Nugget was sent four furlongs, which took him 06s. Six fui longs in 129 saw Golden England working easily. Illuminagh had Yalpai as a. companion over seven furlongs, whicfl took 139 Illuminagh pulled up slightly sore. Doin" pace work on the inner grass were Cvllaros, Gallio, Jonathan, Loombination,' Galilee, Cheval de Volee and Tonnerre. Stretto was on the track, but was only jogged.
