WINDOWS BROKEN.

YOUNG MAN IMPRISONED.

VISITOR FROM AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) / WELLINGTON, this day. "I don't like the look of this man," said Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., yesterday in reference to Edward Joseph Barry, aged 23, a labourer, who was charged with wilfully breaking a pane of plateglass valued at £25, owned by Barbara Andrews, and with breaking another valued at £12, owned by Aubrey Mark Cann. He pleaded guilty to both charges. Accused said that he had come to Wellington from Auckland on Friday. "I didn't like the disrespectful way the Wellington people treated me, and that's why I broke the windows," he said. "It was just the treatment that I received when I came to Wellington." Barry was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labour on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. He was also ordered to be examined by the prison authorities as to his mental condition.
