RETURNED SOLDIERS.
CLEVEDON ANNUAL MEETING,
The members of the Clevedon brancli of the Franklin Returned Soldiers' Association stood in silcnce at their annual meeting as a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mr. V. R. Billman, a very popular member of the district. Mr. S. P. Day, president, and Mr. E. G. Monerief, secretary of the association, were present. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr. G. R. Walsh; secretary, Mr. .H. Alexander; committee, Messrs. R._ Walsh, H. Alexander, C. Grovenor, X. L. Dickie, G. R. Munro, G. McDonald, L. H. Brown. R. L. Waters and Dr. H. H. Cheeseman.
Items were given by Messrs. Brown (Pukekohe) and J. A. Bell.
